Pop Smoke’s Brooklyn Mural Has Been Vandalized With The Spray Painted Phrase “Woo K”

Another Pop Smoke tribute has been vandalized.

On Wednesday, photos circulated online showing someone had damaged the mural of the late rapper with spray paint. The mural is located on Flatland Avenue in Brooklyn’s Canarsie neighborhood.

The photo shows the culprit did not deface Pop’s actual portrait but the image next it to, with the spray painted words “Woo K,” which likely stands for “Woo Killer.”

The mural was designed by Hattas Public Murals just five months following the rapper’s untimely Hollywood Hills death in 2020.

“Our hearts go out to the family, friends and fans of the late and beloved Pop Smoke,” Hattas wrote on Instagram  “Much love to you all. And thank you to the community of #Canarsie for your overwhelming support as we painted this memorial mural. We are humbled and honored.”

This is not the first time one of Pop’s memorial  was vandalized. Last September, the rapper’s grave was hit by unknown suspects who attempted to dig up his casket.

“This was unnecessary, whoever you are,” the rapper’s mother, Audrey Jackson, wrote on Instagram. “Whoever you are, you have my attention. Now what!?”

Last month, Pop’s murder was featured on an episode of Hip Hop Homicides. Amelia Rose, who was an eyewitness to his death, detailed what transpired the night he passed away. She stated that Pop had gone to bathroom while she changed clothes. Moments later, masked gunmen broke into the house, dragged Pop out of the bathroom, and fatally shot him.

Since then, four men were charged with his murder. Authorities claim the intruders were attempting to snag Pop’s Diamond-encrusted Rolex and Cuban Link chain. However, they only made out with his watch which was later sold for $2,000.
