Pop-tarts are looking to solve all of your breakfast needs, from sweet to spicy and savory. The breakfast chain is teaming up with Tajín to introduce new pop tarts.
The new Tajín pop-tart kit comes with “Tajín’s Clásico Seasoning and new Fruity Chamoy Hot Sauce, as well as a variety of fan-favorite Pop-Tarts like Frosted Strawberry, Frosted Wild Berry, and Peach Cobbler,” according to FOX 6.
Tajín, home of lime, sea salt, and chili, launched in 1985 in Mexico. The spice is normally used to spice up cocktails, fruits, vegetables, and limited sweet treats. This would be the first time the brand has dabbled with Kelloggs.
The senior marketing director at Kellogg said, “As a brand, we love to challenge conventions and defy expectations, and, with the superstar power of Tajín, we knew we could inspire our fans with an unexpected, ingenious combination.”
Pop-tart’s kit allows customers to choose their own way to customize the breakfast pastries per a Kellogg statement.
“Think Lemon Crème Pie Pop-Tarts sprinkled with the mild chili and lime flavor of Clásico Seasoning or drizzle the Fruity Chamoy Hot Sauce on your own personal favorite – maybe Frosted Chocolate Fudge – for a sweet and spicy treat,” the company added.
The pop-tarts will be open to the public during Oct. 25-27 starting at noon ET. The limited-edition breakfast kits will be sold exclusively through the Pop Tart Instagram store and Kellogg’s store.
