Popeyes has brought back some fan favorites that have been missed by customers everywhere.
This week, the chicken icon announced the return of the Flounder Fish Sandwich. One of the few seafood offerings on the menu, this famed handheld is available in Classic and Spicy, marinated in savory spices exclusive to the Louisiana-based franchise. The filet is fried golden brown, finished with a crispy coating. Each sandwich is served on a butter-toasted brioche bun with either Classic Tartar sauce or Spicy Spread. The Flounder Fish Sandwich was introduced in 2019 to excellent reviews but was discontinued, despite its popularity.
Another seafood item making its return is the $6 Shrimp Tackle Box. Customers can once again enjoy eight crispy Butterfly Shrimp, also seasoned in herbs, served with one signature side and a hot biscuit. The box can also be ordered as a Surf & Turf, with two chicken tenders, four shrimp, and side items.
Both the Flounder Fish Sandwich and $6 Shrimp Tackle Box have already begun popping up on menus across the country. Hopefully, they’re here to stay this time around.
