Popeyes Is Selling Chicken for 59 Cents to Celebrate its 50th Anniversary

Popeyes is offering a special deal for its 50th anniversary as part of the month-long celebration.

On June 12, Popeyes is offering a throwback deal for the iconic fried chicken that helped the fast-food restaurant gain notoriety half a century ago. At participating locations, two pieces of chicken will be available for 59 cents, the same price as in 1972.

Here’s the catch…the deal has a $5 minimum order and is only available through the Popeyes app and Popeyes.com.

Customers have until June 19 to place their throwback orders before the week-long deal expires.

The low-cost chicken promotion is just the start; the company hopes to announce more promotions as the month progresses.
