Porn Star Ron Jeremy Charged With 20 More Counts Of Sexual Abuse In L.A.; Reports Show Jeremy Used Stardom To Prey On Women In West Hollywood

Porn star Ron Jeremy has been charged with 20 more counts of sexual abuse in Los Angeles County.

On Monday, L.A. County prosecutors issued 20 more counts of sexual assault and groping against longtime adult film star Jeremy, 67. This all comes after Jeremy was taken into custody in late June following allegations that he sexually assaulted four women in West Hollywood between 2014 and 2019. The sex crimes have him facing a total of 28 counts of sexual violence in L.A. County, the Los Angeles Times reports. The porn star has pleaded not guilty to the allegations.

The amended complaint was filed on Monday during a court appearance to schedule Jeremy’s preliminary hearing, according to Ricardo Santiago, a spokesman for the county district attorney’s office. A copy of the complaint has yet to be made available for public viewing. Another 25 allegations against Jeremy came in just three days after he was initially charged. Deputy Dist. Atty. Paul Thompson said prosecutors received the allegations, which included misconduct involving Jeremy. Thirteen of the allegations happened in L.A County. Now six other women who worked in the adult entertainment industry have come forward saying Jeremy raped or abused them, the L.A. Times reports.

In July, a law enforcement official told The Times that the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department received 30 new allegations claiming forcible rape and groping against Jeremy, which involved incidents in L.A. County since 2000, the news outlet reports. Reports show the porn star would prey on women on the Sunset strip, and he would use his celebrity to lure women in, get them drunk, and take advantage of them.

Jeremy has been accused of sex crimes for years, but recorded allegations did not arise until 2017. In addition, a video detailing Jeremy’s sexual abuse claims was posted on YouTube and gained more than 200,000 views. The Rolling Stone also published allegations of groping and violent rape, which was corroborated by 12 women.
