Porsha Williams is taking her ex-husband, Simon Guobadia, back to court, claiming he has failed to pay over $667,000 as outlined in their divorce settlement.
According to newly filed court documents, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star says she has not received the money Guobadia agreed to pay. The unpaid amount includes alimony, life insurance obligations, and costs related to their former shared home.
Williams is now asking a judge to hold Guobadia in contempt of court for allegedly ignoring the financial terms of their divorce agreement.
“Simon has not fulfilled the responsibilities he agreed to,” her legal team stated in the filing.
The pair married in 2022 but separated just 15 months later. The divorce quickly became messy, with money and immigration issues surfacing. In January, Guobadia’s application for U.S. citizenship was denied, and shortly afterward, he was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Documents show Guobadia has a long immigration history, initially arriving in the U.S. in 1982, being ordered deported in 1985, then re-entering the country and overstaying again.
Now, with the drama stretching from courtroom battles to immigration woes, Williams is pushing to get the funds she says are legally hers.
