Porsha Williams Opens Up About Life After Child Birth, Drama With NeNe Leakes and More

Fresh off the premiere of Porsha Williams’ Bravo baby special, “Porsha’s Having A Baby,” the Atlanta Housewife checked in with Baller Alert to gush over her bundle of joy. Amid the conversation, the reality star also opened up about her struggles with postpartum and offered a word of advice for new mothers who are struggling with after effects of pregnancy and childbirth.

“Take your time,” Williams said. “Pace yourself. Know that you won’t be absolutely perfect because this is a brand new experience. There is no book to tell you exactly how to parent your child. The best advice I’ve gotten is just to be patient with myself.”

In the age of social media, many new moms have documented their journey to getting their pre-pregnancy body back. But for Williams, there’s nothing more important than her child, her well-being and her new fiancé, at the end of the day, her snapback can wait.

“You can get kinda tunnel vision and be focused too much on your body and how it looks and how to get back to where you were,” Williams said. “You just had a whole baby. Don’t worry about none of that. Put yo’ little creams on, but more than that you need to be catering to your child. Just worry about that. Later on, when I’m off maternity leave, maybe I’ll be worried about that — worried about the snatch back. But right now, it’s just more focused on me, and the baby and my fiancé. That’s it.”

From there, Williams opened up about her relationship with NeNe Leakes, and how she’s moved on from their drama.

“We’re living our own separate lives. I think we both tried to open the door and figure it out, but it just did not work out for us. I think that us together is just toxic,” Williams said. “All the back and forth with a woman who ain’t even your man, it’s like ahah. I’m pretty much done with it; I’m sure she moved on.”
