“Power Book II: Ghost” is hanging up its guns with season four.
On Thursday, Starz revealed the series’ conclusion. Following the criminal escapades and college life of Tariq St. Patrick and his eclectic circle, including the Tejada family, street-smart lawyer Davis MacLean, best friend Brayden Weston, and others, the show dives into Tariq’s journey into the drug trade after his father, James “Ghost” St. Patrick’s death in the original “Power” series.
In collaboration with 50 Cent and showrunner Courtney Kemp, Starz has successfully spun off multiple shows from “Power,” with “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” gearing up for its fourth season and “Power Book IV: Force” preparing for its third. The announcement of “Power Book II: Ghost” wrapping up coincides with Starz’s revelation of a new spin-off delving into James St. Patrick and his best friend Tommy’s upbringing before they rose to prominence in the drug and business game. While Tariq’s adventures are coming to a close, Starz assures viewers a thrilling finale.
Kathryn Busby, president of programming for Starz, stated, “This explosive season of ‘Ghost’ is a fitting crescendo in a decade of an immensely popular franchise — fans will not be disappointed. While this marks the conclusion of one chapter, our commitment to the ‘Power’ universe endures with more compelling storytelling on the horizon.”
“Power Book II: Ghost” is set to return on June 7th, with the second half of the season airing on September 6th.
