Looks like Tariq and the Tejadas will be sticking around for a bit longer as “Power Book II: Ghost” gets an early Season 4 renewal.
With Season 3 of the “Power” spinoff scheduled to air in March, Starz has already greenlit another round of episodes. Kathryn Busby, president of original programming for Starz, confirmed the added season on Monday. Another surprising yet welcoming announcement was the casting of Michael Ealy.
Known best for his performances in “Barbershop,” “Think Like a Man,” and the despicable villain in “For Colored Girls,” Ealy will take on the role of Detective Don Carter in Season 4. The NYPD officer is dedicated to making the city streets safer after his wife is gunned down by gang members in a shootout. However, it won’t be long before he encounters Tariq St. Patrick and the Tejada family, sparking a new interest in this crime fighter.
It will be exciting to see what surprises arise in Season 3 in preparation for its successor. What is known so far is that Tariq is attempting to pick up the pieces and return his family and drug operation to normalcy. The teen will do his best to juggle a Wall Street internship and the streets, while Monet Tejada’s powerful family takes steps to avenge the death of Zeke and protect their own business interests.
“Power Book II: Ghost” Season will debut March 17th, with Season 4 production already underway in New York.
