A.P. Deauville has pulled over 67,000 cases of Power Stick deodorant from stores across the country after the FDA flagged issues with the product’s manufacturing process. The recall began on July 10th, according to the FDA’s enforcement report.
The products affected include three roll-on varieties: Power Stick for Her Antiperspirant Deodorant in Powder Fresh, Power Stick Invisible Protection in Spring Fresh, and Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection. These were widely available through retailers such as Walmart, Dollar Tree, and Amazon.
The FDA cited “cGMP deviations” as the reason for the recall, referring to a failure to follow current Good Manufacturing Practices. This means the deodorants may not have been produced under conditions that meet federal safety standards.
Specific batches being recalled include:
Power Stick for Her Roll-On: Lot numbers 032026B011 through 082826E402
Power Stick Invisible Protection: Lot numbers 031726A991 through 111626G231
Power Stick Original Nourishing: Lot numbers 101225D781 through 111626G221
Consumers who purchased these products should check packaging for the listed lot numbers and stop using them immediately.
A.P. Deauville is also known for producing shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, and facial wipes. No other products are currently included in the recall.
