President Obama Meets With Trump At The White House

To officially begin the transfer of power, President Obama met with Donald Trump today at the White House.

From pictures, this meeting seemed extremely awkward for the two men who have been extremely critical of one another for years. For the sake of the country though, President Obama offered to help Trump however he can.

“We now are going to want to do everything we can to help you succeed because if you succeed the country succeeds,” President Obama said to Trump.

At the conclusion of the 90-minute meeting, Barack Obama said things went “excellent.” His successor said he looked forward “to dealing with the president in the future, including counsel.”

First Lady Michelle Obama also met with Melania Trump.
