President Biden’s dog, Commander, was removed from the White House grounds after biting incidents involving staff and Secret Service officers.
According to Elizabeth Alexander, the first lady’s communications director, personnel safety is a priority for the President and First Lady.
“They remain grateful for the patience and support of the U.S. Secret Service and all involved as they continue to work through solutions,” she said, adding, “Commander is not presently on the White House campus while next steps are evaluated.”
Alexander did not disclose the location where the old German shepherd, Commander, was sent.
This statement was made after White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre addressed another allegation of Commander biting a White House staffer during a briefing.
