Pride Month Spotlight: Take PRIDE in Your Self Care With Content Creator @_trashtalks [Video]

As we continue to celebrate Pride Month, we want to shine a light on some self-care tips to ensure you look and feel your best. Content creator Drew (@_trashtalks) not only shared some of his favorite routines on how he stays fit, healthy, and glowing, but he shared his first Pride experience and what P.R.I.D.E means to him.

P – Professionalism

R – Respect

I – Integrity

D – Diversity

E – Excellence

While sharing his love for skin care, Drew shared his first pride experience. “I had the opportunity to visit New York City Pride in 2013. This year was important because the U.S. Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage in all 50 states. This was a monumental moment because it meant no states can no longer deny same-sex marriages and must recognize their unions. So love ultimately wins,” said Drew.

Drew included the importance of using sunscreen. “Wearing sunscreen is one of the easiest and best ways to protect your skin. Sunscreen protects your skin from harmful rays, skin aging, skin cancer and premature aging. So yes, even you, all my black people, go ahead and grab some,” said Drew.

Supplements, water, physical fitness and grooming are all key items Drew described as his perfect formula to self-care.

“Nothing is more important than your mental health and mental hygiene,” said Drew.

“Being happy, doing what you love, doing what makes you smile, making other people happy. These are things you should take pride in,” said Drew.
