Prince Andrew has deleted his Twitter account as criticism against him intensified one week after his mother, the Queen, stripped him of his honorary military roles.
The Duke of York’s official Twitter account @thedukeofyork is no longer active on the social media platform; landing on the page now shows a message that states “this account doesn’t exist – try searching for another.”
His official Instagram @hrhthedukeofyork, which has over 200, 000 followers has bee set to private.
According to sources who spoke to The Daily Mail, his social media channels were being removed and were no longer considered live, but some of them were taking longer to filter through than the others.
The source also told the publication: “The changes have been made to reflect the recent statement from Buckingham Palace regarding The Duke of York.”
