Just three days after his passing, friends and family have said their final goodbyes to Prince.
The Purple Rain singer was very specific about how he wanted to be laid to rest. Following his autopsy, he was cremated at a funeral home.
“He wanted it to be kept to the minimum of fuss. Prince was such figure you don’t need a funeral to remember him by,” a family friend said. “He wanted to simply disappear with no fuss, no drama, no fanfare. It was just his style.”
Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, her son and another family member were spotted shepherding his ashes to a car. There’ is no word as to where the final destination of the ashes will be.
A private memorial service was held at at Prince’s Paisley Park compound on Saturday, drawing friends and loved ones including Larry Graham, Sheila E. and Mayte Garcia. According to Tyka Nelson’s husband, a larger, public memorial is in the works.
