Well, sheesh! Imagine being uninvited to your grandmother’s funeral. Apparently, that seems to be the case for Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.
The couple received an invite to attend the grand event hosted by King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla at Buckingham Palace. The pre-funeral is for world leaders and foreign royals, but the couple has apparently been informed that only working British royals are welcome, Page Six reported.
It’s still unclear why Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, were invited in the first place, with royal aides insisting they are not expected to attend.
Sources told the outlet that the married couple “appeared baffled” by the mishaps.
Markle and Harry have been in the UK mourning the queen alongside Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the rest of the royal family.
Markle and Harry were seen holding hands at the monarch’s procession on Wednesday, considered a “breach of protocol.”
