Prince’s Purple Rain could be headed to Broadway soon.
On Monday, Producer Orin Wolf revealed plans to develop a stage version of the iconic 1984 film “Purple Rain,” which catapulted Prince to stardom and earned him an Oscar.
In the film, Prince played The Kid, an up-and-coming musician in the Minneapolis rock scene, grappling with rival bands, fleeting romances, and a challenging home life.
So far, details about the launch date and venue for the Purple Rain musical have yet to be revealed.
