Prosecutors are requesting that 19 women come forward and testify against comedian and actor Bill Cosby for his retrial.
Cosby faces allegations of sexual assault and misconduct that carry over from the last 50 years. And in order to accurately convict Cosby, prosecutors want 19 women to testify in his retrial which is set for April 2. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last year, Cosby went to trial for drugging and assault allegations made against him by Temple University women’s basketball administrator Andrea Constand from 2004. At the time, Judge Steven O’Neill only allowed one extra accuser to testify in addition to the 13 that prosecutors had already asked for. Prosecutors have included Janice Dickerson as one of the six added witnesses.

If all 19 women are given the chance to testify Cosby’s lawyers will seek to delay the retrial in order to fully investigate all the allegations as some date back to the 1960s, which his lawyers say are virtually impossible to defend against.”

Jury selection begins March 29.
