Prosecutors File Motion to Drop Refrigerator Theft Charges Against Master P's Son, Hercy Miller

Master P’s son, Hercy Miller, could soon be off the hook in his refrigerator theft case.

Prosecutors have reportedly filed documents to dismiss the felony charge against him. The Iron County Attorney’s Office submitted a motion to drop Hercy’s case in court on Friday. If a judge signs off, Hercy will be in the clear, with a formal ruling expected as early as next week.

Hercy and fellow students Brock Felder and Peter Dadson Jr. were initially arrested for allegedly stealing refrigerators from Southern Utah University. They were arrested on November 27th for one count of theft. All three are players for the SUU Thunderbirds basketball team.

According to court documents, the trio allegedly took two refrigerators from the campus bookstore’s loading dock. Together, the appliances were valued at $3,000. Surveillance footage reportedly captured the athletes loading the fridges into their vehicles on November 11th. Police later found one fridge in an apartment shared by two of the men and the second in the garage of the third.

Hercy and Dadson Jr. explained to police that they believed the appliances were being discarded, noting that the refrigerators had been sitting on the loading dock for “almost a month.” Felder admitted to assisting his teammates but claimed the plan wasn’t his idea.

“[Dadson Jr.] said that he believed they were being thrown away and that it was OK to take them,” the arrest documents revealed.

After being taken into custody, all three men were booked at a local jail and released the following day, November 28th. SUU basketball head coach Rob Jeter described the situation as a misunderstanding, assuring TMZ Sports that “the university is working to get this thing resolved quickly.”

Hercy, who recently transferred to SUU from Louisville, is in his first season with the Utah school. Despite the incident, all three players participated in SUU’s December 3rd game, where the team secured a 90-55 victory over Park University Gilbert.
