Kyrie Irving has some loyal supporters, so loyal that they attempted to force their way inside Barclays Center to protest on his behalf.
The Brooklyn Nets star has been firm about his stance on the COVID-19 vaccine and has been benched because he hasn’t gotten vaccinated. A group of protestors took to the New York streets to advocate for him this weekend.
Apparently, they think the whole vaccine mandate situation is BS. Protestors attempted to go inside the arena shortly before the game against the Hornets.
Footage showed the group clashing with security and even went over barricades. Luckily, police and security were able to gain control before things got too bad.
Irving on the other hand has been keeping a low profile and says it’s not the vaccine he’s against but the mandate.
