Right-wing alleged terrorist group Proud Boys has reportedly received an immense amount of support from some the Chinese diaspora who don’t support Antifa, and the Black Lives Matter movement.

The New York Post and USA Today reports that more than 80 percent of the donations given to the Proud Boys came from people with Chinese surnames, according to leaked information obtained by USA Today.  Eighty percent of the gifts made up more than $106,107 raised for medical costs for members of the Proud Boys. Some of the contributions came before the U.S. Capitol attack that took place on Jan. 6. One donation was $100, which came from Li Zhang. Minutes later, another donation of $100 came from a person named Jun Li.

Data and several experts also found that Proud Boys have been getting a “significant” amount of “support” from the Chinese American community and expats in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. “You have to understand how we feel – we came from Communist China, and we managed to come here, and we appreciate it here so much,” said Rebecca Kwan. Kwan donated $500 to the group.

Kwan went on to say that she supports the group because they “are fighting Antifa.” “And can you see anything good that Antifa did except destroy department stores and small businesses?” Other Asian donors said they support the group because they are against the BLM movement and organization.
