Members of QAnon think Donald Trump is going to become President again on March 4.
The reign of Trump is over, but some of his fans and supporters are still holding on. According to a new QAnon conspiracy theory, Trump will be sworn in as the 19th president of the United States on Match 4, 2021. Yes, the 19th president.
For those who donāt know, QAnon followers believe the false idea that Donald Trump was put in place as president to put a stop to an elite society of pedophiles that includes celebrities and high-profile political figures, including Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and others. QAnon and other extremist groups were seen on Jan. 6 participating in the attack on the U.S. Capitol. The group upholds a belief that they are not subject to the same laws as everyone else in the country, Vice News reports.
āThere was some crossover between QAnon and the sovereign citizen movement before, but I’ve seen sovereign citizen ideas about the United States being a ācorporationā become more popular within QAnon and beyond in January,ā Travis View, a conspiracy theory researcher, told VICE News. āIt’s concerning because it means QAnon is borrowing ideas from more-established extremism movements.ā In addition to believing Trump is coming back, the group also believes that a law was enacted in 1871 secretly transitioning the States into a business.
QAnon group members have been sharing documents about the fake 1871 act, claiming it stands as proof that Trump will be sworn in on March 4. The ideology is also beginning to spread outside of the QAnon community. āCan someone tell me why Iām 22 years old, and I just learned that the United States is a corporation, not a country,ā one TikTok user asked in a video posted over the weekend, which gained 47,000 views, Vice reports.
