Quando Rondo has broken his silence after the arrest of Lil Durk and several affiliates in a murder-for-hire plot against him.
On Saturday, Rondo took to Instagram to pen a lengthy message about leaving the streets for good after finding success in the rap game.
“We didn’t get into this music industry to make it just to stay caught up in the street s**t. We all have families and communities counting on us. It’s time to leave all that behind,” Rondo began.
According to the indictment, in the 2022 plot, several Durk affiliates tracked down the Savannah, Georgia, rapper in Los Angeles and opened fire on a vehicle he was traveling in. Sadly, they murdered his friend, Lul Pab, instead. The aftermath was captured in a video that quickly spread online, showing Rondo screaming out in pain as Pab’s body was removed from the car. The shooting was allegedly in retaliation for the November 2020 murder of King Von. Rondo’s friend, Lul Tim, is the one who pulled the trigger allegedly to defend Rondo against Von during a fight.
Despite the details of Durk reportedly sending the men to kill him, Rondo is offering grace to all involved.
“We’ve already lost so much, and it’s heavy on my heart to forgive anyone I had issues with in the past. It’s all love from me. Praying for everyone,” he added, ending the post with the title of his new single, “Life Goes On.”
