Deshaun Watson found himself in more legal trouble just shortly after being traded to the Cleveland Browns.
Less than three months following his trade, the NFL player was busted in Ohio for speeding. Back in June, Watson was stopped by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, who says he was going 97 mph in a 70 mph zone while driving his G-Wagon.
The body cam footage shows the officer asking Watson if he knew how fast he was driving.
“Like, 97?” the 27-year-old quarterback questioned before telling the officer he had just been traded to the Browns.
The officer confirmed Watson’s statement, “Yea, I got you at 97.”
Within the next few minutes, Watson received a citation and was free to leave. The case was closed on July 6th after Watson paid the $185 fine.
The quarterback says he was traveling into town from Detroit and the entire interaction with the officer was cordial.
Watson is currently on an 11-game suspension after allegedly being sexually inappropriate with several female masseuses during his time with the Texans football team.
Watson has since denied the claims and will be allowed back on the field to play with the Browns starting week 13.
