The Migos is set to hit the stage for an upcoming battle of the bands event, but Offset will not be hitting the stage as part of the trio.
The National Battle of the Bands (NBOTB) announced the group would perform on stage at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, next month. However, a flyer for the event only seemed to feature Quavo and Takeoff.
“The addition of world-famous hip hop act, Migos, to the 2022 National Battle of the Bands lineup is a gigantic milestone, merging popular hip hop with the spirit and soul of music produced by our nation’s finest HBCU marching bands,” said NBOTB executive producer Derek Webber. “We’re thrilled that spectators will get to see the iconic band showcase and a premier hip hop performance with the same ticket.”
Since Quavo and Takeoff’s new song, “Hotel Lobby,” was released in May under the moniker Unc & Phew, breakup rumors have continued to surface.
Following the song’s debut, fans noticed that Offset and his wife Cardi B unfollowed both Quavo and Takeoff on social media. However, in June, Quavo gifted Takeoff a new Migos chain for his birthday, which indicates that they could still be a trio.
On Twitter, Offset announced that he and Moneybagg Yo would release new music in August.
