Quavo of the hip-hop group the Migos is proven that he isn’t a one-trick pony. Taking a step out of his comfort zone from the music realm and into Hollywood, Quavo has announced an upcoming film he produced entitled, ‘The Resort.’
Taking to Twitter to announce the project, Quavo told his fans, “Wow, Just WATCH MY FIRST HORROR FILM I PRODUCED. The Resort coming soon. Thanks, @willmeldman.” Will Meldman is CEO of the film company Double Down Pictures.
‘The Resort’ won’t be Quavo’s first rodeo on the Hollywood scene as he has also previously guest-starred as himself on hit shows such as Fox’s ’Star,’ Fx’s ’Atlanta’ and ABC’s ’Black-ish.’ It was also announced in August that Quavo would be executive producing an animated series based on the Atlanta hip-hop scene for kids.
In a statement obtained by Billboard, “I’ve loved animation my whole life, whether on TV or in movies, and I wanted my first jump into this premium content world to be a show just for kids. It will definitely reflect the creativity, love, and families in and around the nawf side of Atlanta, where we grew up.”
It is currently not known whether ‘The Resort’ will hit the big screen or when it is set to be released.
