According to the “Medicine” singer, while in labor with her son Chris Sails Jr., also known as CJ, the top of his head was visible. However, as she continued pushing, doctors advised her that attempting a vaginal birth had become too risky.
“They were like, well, ‘You can keep pushing, but there’s a possibility that, you know, we might lose the baby or we might lose you.’ And that scared the crap out of me,” she shared. Despite this, Naija now questions the medical advice she received and wonders if financial motives might have influenced them to urge a C-section.
“Now that I’m a little bit older, I wonder if they were telling me that… to make more money. You know how hospitals be. I wonder if I really could have pushed,” she reflected.
Queen Naija is a mother of two children: Chris Sails Jr., born in 2015 with her ex-husband Chris Sails, and her second son, Legend, whom she welcomed in 2020 with her boyfriend, Clarence White.
