A Queen’s model was found dead in Jamaica this past Sunday with her throat slashed on the side of a deserted road.
#DesireeGibbon was a 26-year-old model looking for work in a tourist area of Jamaica. Her body was found Sunday morning in a town northwest of Anchovy on Long Hill road, just four miles away from Montego Bay.
Witnesses saw Gibbon’s body covered in blood in bushes, and called the police, according to the news outlet, LoopJamaica.com. Gibbon’s parents immediately flew to the island Thursday once they heard the horrific news.

“It has to have been a complete stranger. Desiree had a heart of gold, everybody loved her,” said her aunt, Peggy Brunner. “Everything hurts. It’s hard to breathe.”

In order to identify Gibbon, police took a photo of her and asked residents if they recognized her. Ironically, officials ended up in her father’s hotel which ended the search.

Coroners are now going over her body to find out exactly how she died. The process may take months according to Brunner.
