Back in 2014, Quinta Brunson, also known as Quinta B, rose to fame with her relatable hit series, “The Girl Who’s Never Been On A Nice Date.” Now, just six years later, the viral sensation is a writer, producer, comedian, and actress, with a slew of big-name projects under her belt.
Between co-producing a pilot for CBS, alongside Larry Wilmore and Jermaine Fowler, and starring alongside Amber Ruffin in Robin Thede’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show,” Brunson is already a force to be reckoned with and she’s just getting started.
In an exclusive interview with Baller Alert, the actress opened up about her journey to success.
“I think for me, it was about trying to make smart decisions and trying to blend what I was doing in digital with the mainstream world,” Brunson said. “I think that so many people are making it right now, they may not be as visible I am, but a lot of people are now working in the background.”
“For me, I try to write down what it is I want to do and who I want to be, and then I like to think that if I write it down and keep it in my mind, it’s like a string connecting me to the top of the universe,” Brunson said. “So even if I waiver from it a little bit, I’ll eventually get pulled back. As long as I’m working on that string, then I’m going to be making sure that all my moves are intentional toward those goals that I want to reach.”
As she continued, Brunson opened up about the different type of stories, her experience with Buzzfeed, and more.
