R. Kelly is on a mission to get out of jail ahead of his trial for various sex crimes against multiple women. In fact, in his second attempt at an early release, R. Kelly claims his health has been compromised in the big house.
According to new court docs obtained by TMZ, Kelly’s attorneys claim the singer has not been receiving adequate medical treatment behind bars, as he has been suffering from numbness in one of his hands, anxiety and an untreated hernia. In addition, Kelly’s lawyer believes the conditions of the singer’s confinement is “stifling,” as his visitation list has been limited.
“Although he lives and has lived with two lady friends, only one of them is allowed to be on his visiting list, and after 90 days he’s required to switch,” the attorneys said, as they promised that the self-proclaimed pied piper would be on his best behavior if he were to be released.
To further plead their cases, according to TMZ, the attorneys guaranteed that Kelly would not tamper with evidence, intimidate witnesses or try to flee, especially since he wouldn’t have access to his passport.
A judge has yet to rule, but in the meantime, Kelly’s trial is set to begin in April.
