R. Kelly Pleads Not Guilty In Court Hearing, Attorney Says He’s Innocent: “He Knows What Kind Of Fight He’s Going To Be Involved In. He Was In It Before”

R.Kelly is pleading not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges.

For the second time in over a decade, Kelly arrived in court on Monday to address sex crime charges, in which he faces 10 counts of abuse of four victims-three of which would have been underage at the time of the alleged abuse.

Kelly’s attorney, Steve Geenberg, entered a not guilty plea for Kelly on Monday as well.

In the meantime, an attorney for one of the accusers said they have more evidence that could cement their case against the self-proclaimed Pied Piper.

Attorney Michael Avenatti, who reignited Kelly outrage with information on a new tape, said the new videos indicate Kelly “deserves to be locked up for the rest of his life.” “Over the weekend, we have encountered a number of additional witnesses who we have interviewed, who we are in the process of preparing to meet with prosecutors,” Avenatti said Monday. “Each of these witnesses describes a decade-long system of abuse by Mr. Kelly of underage girls.”

In the first video, Kelly is shown performing the same sexual acts he did in the video that got him arrested in 2002 on child pornography charges. He was acquitted six years later. On Monday, Avenatti said a second video had been turned over to prosecutors.

“The videotape depicts Mr. Kelly engaged in the illegal sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl. It is approximately 55 minutes in length,” Avenatti said. “It leaves no question as to Mr. Kelly’s guilt on the tape,” Avenatti said there’s a third video but failed to reveal what was on it.

In the meantime, #StevenGreenberg, Kelly’s attorney, has yet to see the video to confirm if Kelly is in it. “All of this is ridiculously premature,” Greenberg said. “He’s in jail. Nobody wants to be in jail,” Greenberg told reporters. “But he’s strong, and he knows what’s there and he knows what kind of fight he’s going to be involved in. He was in it before.”

Kelly’s next court date is set for March 22, and as of 5:30 p.m., according to the Associated Press, Kelly has posted bond and will be released within the hour.
