In almost a decade since R. Kelly’s acquittal on charges of making child pornography, the self-proclaimed Pied Piper of R&B is facing a new set of allegations concerning underaged girls.
It all re-ignited back in July of 2017 when BuzzFeed released a report of parents accusing the singer of holding young women against their will in an abusive sex “cult.” Although Kelly denied the claims of the cult, other women came forward with allegations of underage sex with the singer.
In fact, a woman named Jerhonda Pace said she was “trained” to please Kelly at the age of 16. In addition to those claims, he was also accused of giving a 19-year-old an STD on purpose.
Most recently in a BBC documentary, Kelly’s ex-girlfriend, Kitti Jones claimed the singer had a “sex dungeon” and “trained” a 14-year-old girl to be one of his “pets.”

Now, in the wake of the allegations and Kelly’s history of questionable behavior with underage girls, the singer’s publicist, lawyer and an executive assistant who was with Kelly for 10 years have all severed business ties with the singer.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Effective April 16, 2018, I no longer represent Mr. Robert Kelly,” publicist Trevian Kutti told Rolling Stone. Meanwhile, Kelly’s lawyer, who also cut ties with the singer, said her departure had nothing to do with the recent allegations.

“I no longer represent R. Kelly. My resignation was unrelated to any allegations related to Mr. Kelly’s social life, ” she said.

As for Kelly’s longtime executive assistant, she resigned on April 1st but refused to give a reason why.
