R. Kelly owes another significant child support payment and his ex-wife Andrea Kelly wants the court to set a firm deadline to get him to cough up the dough; otherwise, she fears he’ll never make the payment.
According to legal docs obtained by TMZ, Andrea Kelly’s legal team is asking the court for a hard deadline for the embattled singer to get him to pay up the $32k he owes in interest on back child support.
Drea claims that Kelly is still dragging his feet on the payments because the court never imposed a set date for him to pay up. Drea is asking for a deadline that will be enforced because she doesn’t think she’ll ever see the money.
The embattled singer has been required to pay $20,833 per month in child support since January 2009. Kelly is currently $161,633 behind on his payments and has already sat in jail before until his debt was paid.
Now Drea is fighting in court for the interest owed on that money and she wants the court to force Kelly to pay.
