Rabbi Abraham Cooper has a suggestion for ABC network. The Rabbi invites ‘The View’ to do a live show at the Museum of Tolerance following Whoopi Goldberg’s Holocaust comment.
According to TMZ, Rabbi Cooper from the Simon Wiesenthal Center believe the ladies should do some episodes at the museum. Rabbi Cooper says this will not only educate the audience on the Holocaust but will also showcase ABC network taking accountability.
“They are welcome to bring The View to shoot a week’s worth of shows in our auditorium, maybe have one or two community-based interactions. What ABC could do, whether they bring the show here or they come and do a special in the museum. Is to explain why this new definition of racism is simply not factual,” Rabbi Cooper says.
The Rabbi believes the issue is how society defines racism and how it “would probably account for why Whoopi Goldberg said what she said.”
“So if ABC really wants to do a service to America. Help us do a better job with explaining to people the full scoop of racism,” Rabbi Cooper adds. “The truth is, they did what they did, and it is appropriate to have some accountability. Now it’s time for some accountability from ABC.”
The Rabbi was also clear that he does not think Whoopi is anti-Semitic but says she’s already experiencing the consequences of her actions.
“Whoopi Goldberg is a known personality. Over the decades, she’s done a lot of great things. She’s always been socially aware. It would be inappropriate, foolish to stick the label of ‘anti-Semite’ on her. We deal with anti-semitism 24/7,” Rabbi Cooper states.
