Back in April 2017, Oakland Raiders Cornerback Gareon Conley was accused of rape, following an incident at a hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. The allegations surfaced just ahead of the NFL Draft, in which Conley was projected to be selected in the Top 20.
Though Conley denied the allegations, and was cooperative in the investigation, the uncertainty caused the first-round pick to slip to No. 24. Almost four months later, a grand jury decided not to indict on any charges, relieving the former Ohio State star of all his legal baggage ahead of the 2017-18 NFL season.
But now, amid his four-year, $10.4 million rookie contract with the Raiders, Conley is firing back at his accuser for her “false allegations.” Not only did the allegations cause Conley to fall in the draft, he says they also ruined his reputation and cost him a fortune.

In new legal docs filed by Conley, obtained by TMZ, the baller says the “false” allegations damaged his rep, hurt his draft stock and cost him several endorsement deals, “including a contract with Nike.” He also provided details of the night in question, and refuted the accuser’s claims.

The alleged incident occurred on April 9, after Conley reportedly brought Brooke Puscian to his hotel room. In Puscian’s initial report, she said Conley asked to have a foursome but she declined and offered to watch the other couple have sex instead.

Shortly after, she claimed Conley forced himself on her, despite her cries for him to stop. When he was finished, she said he kicked her out of the room, and she phoned officials and went to the hospital. Upon arrival, police said Conley’s two friends said Puscian was mad that she was kicked out of the room, but nothing happened between the two.

Ultimately, a grand jury agreed and declined to press charges. As a result, Conley believes Puscian lied out of spite and is now liable for “malicious criminal prosecution” and he wants her to pay up.
