Amidst the release of the seven-track album, “DAYTONA,” by Def Jam rapper, #PushaT, came the reigniting of the long-time beef with OVO rapper, #Drake.

The dispute between the rappers dates back to Drake’s 2016 song “Two Birds, One Stone,” in which the Toronto rapper questions Pusha’s drug dealing past:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“But really it’s you with all the drug dealer stories / That’s gotta stop, though / You made a couple chops and now you think you Chapo / If you ask me though, you ain’t lining the trunk with kilos.”

Pusha T addressed his issue with Drake on the last track of the album called “Infrared.” Over a pulsing bass beat from #KanyeWest, Pusha rapped:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“The game’s fucked up
Niggas beats is bangin’, nigga, ya hooks did it
The lyric pennin’ equal to Trump’s winnin’
The bigger question is how the Russians did it
It was written like Nas but it came from Quentin.”
But, that was only shot thrown at Drizzy referencing his exposed “ghostwriter,” Quentin Miller. Pusha continued:
“Let Steven talk streamin’ and Shazam numbers
I’ll ensure you gettin’ every gram from us
Let’s cram numbers, easily
The only rapper sold more dope than me was Eazy-E
How could you ever right these wrongs
When you don’t even write your songs?”

In an interview on Hot 97, Pusha confirmed he was referring to Drake on the track stating that the static between the rappers is simply an exchange of bars and truths. “If we gone question things, we need to question them and now it’s my turn to question them,” Pusha said. In regards to the ghostwriting claims, he added, “That’s my truth as I see it. That’s just laid out on the table.”

Drake responded less than 24 hours later with his own freestyle, #Duppy, spitting:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“So if you rebuke me for working with someone else on a couple of Vs
What do you really think of the niggas that’s making your beats?”
“Don’t push me when I’m in album mode
You not even top 5 as far as your label talent goes
You send shots, well, I got to challenge those.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The shots continued as Drake called out West directly, crediting himself for promoting Pusha’s new album by entertaining “Infrared.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Tell ‘Ye we got an invoice comin’ to you Considering we just sold another 20 for you”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Acknowledging the diss, Pusha later tweeted “send the invoice for the extra 20.” Which led Drake to post a fake invoice for $100,000.
