Georgia rapper Jackboy faces serious charges after being arrested because his driver couldn’t maintain his lane.
According to TMZ, Monroe County police pulled over the blue Lamborghini SUV the rapper was traveling in last month after noticing the vehicle’s driver could not stay in his lane.
After approaching the car, the cop smelled marijuana, so he called for backup to search the vehicle.
The search uncovered two unregistered firearms, a 9mm and a Glock, in the passenger’s side glove box where the rapper was sitting.
The “Pressure” rapper says he didn’t know the guns were in the car and a passenger riding in the backseat claimed they belonged to him. But because Jackboy is a convicted felon, he is prohibited from being within arm’s reach of a firearm.
Jackboy was arrested for possession of a firearm but was able to post a $2,500 bond the same day, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Authorities say they let the rapper and his crew off with a verbal warning over the small amount of marijuana found during the traffic stop.
