Lil Reese was released from prison after serving a seven-month sentence.
On Thursday, the rapper was released from a Houston facility after a pre-trial hearing that dismissed one of his charges.
Reese was previously arrested in May 2020 on a misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault against a family member. According to Harris County Jail records, Reese received an additional misdemeanor and two felonies.
The documents shows one case being dismissed with a “GPE sentence,” which suggests Reese was ordered to make a payment through Government Payment EXP. However, this could mean Reese paid off some fines or payments apart of the terms of his release.
This is not the first time Reese has been involved in some sort of legal trouble. In 2021, the rapper was arrested on domestic violence charges in Chicago.
On May 29th, authorities responded to a call at Reese’s house around 10:30 pm. Upon arrival, police found a woman who claimed to be Reese’s girlfriend with a viable cut on her lip. The unidentified woman said he pulled her hair and punched her in the face with a closed fist, causing the injury. Reese was taken into custody but was released after posting $10,000 bond.
