Rapper Lil Yachty is Breaking Into the Food Business With a New Line of Frozen Pizzas

Lil Yachty has been particularly quiet lately, and that is because he was cooking up his own brand of pizzas.

Yachty has joined forces with Deep Cuts to launch his premium frozen pizza brand, Yachty’s Pizzeria. For their first partnership, Deep Cuts worked closely with the “One Night” rapper to present four bold flavors to pizza lovers with handpicked cheeses, toppings, and seasonings.

The flavors include Buffalo Style Chicken, Pepperoni & Bacon, Veggie Supreme, and Hot Honey Cheese, which is Yachty’s favorite. The classic Buffalo Style Chicken pizza features Yachty’s own mix of buffalo ranch sauce topped with spicy chunks of buffalo chicken breast and crispy French-fried onions on top of mozzarella cheese. The Hot Honey Cheese offers a blend of several kinds of cheese, including provolone, mozzarella, asiago, Monterey jack, romano, and parmesan spread across spicy tomato sauce that’s sweetened with real honey. The Pepperoni and Bacon pizza is covered with mozzarella cheese, bacon, and layers of pepperoni. Finally, the Veggie Supreme is topped with a mix of bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, olives, and Gouda and Fontina cheeses. Hold the broccoli!

For Yachty fans, a pizza line is no surprise as the rapper has expressed his love for the food countless times. In a 2016 interview, he confessed to eating a slice of pizza every day since he was in the 2nd grade. But in an interview with PEOPLEhe explained how his love for Italian dish began.

“The thing behind my love for pizza was, quite frankly, my mom worked two jobs,” Yachty said. “She was a very busy woman. She’d be pretty tired when she came home, and she just always brought home a pizza. We went and picked up a pizza or baked a pizza. It became pretty standard in our life, and I loved it.”

Richard Yaffa, EVP of Global Brands UMG, said Yachty’s Pizzeria is an excellent way for Lil Yachty fans to connect with him and the grub he loves.

“Yachty’s Pizzeria is an exciting example of a strategic brand extension that both represents the artist’s interest, passion and personality as well as a way to help him expand his business portfolio,” Yaffa said in a statement, according to Yahoo. “It’s a thrill to be able to continue to find new ways for our artists to connect with their fans around the world and support these campaigns with best-in-class marketing and creative support.”

Deep Cuts is a U.S.-based brand created by Universal Music Group For Brands to “create products that are an extension of a musician’s artistry and business portfolios,” PEOPLE reports.  Those wanting to try Yachty’s Pizzeria will only have to fork over around $6.98 exclusively at your local Walmart.
