Yesterday we broke the news about Atlanta rapper, Rico Richie, being arrested while recording at a local Atlanta studio. Was it a coincidence that he was arrested the same day as Young Thug?
According to law enforcement, the “Poppin” rapper was merely a casualty of war. Cops were investigating for Young Thug in connection with the Lil Wayne tour bus shooting and when they bombarded the studio looking for Young Thug, they instead found Rico Richie. Richie was recording at the same studio where Young Thug recorded his “Halftime” music video and apparently that video is part of the indictment. When they barged in on Richie, they found weed and guns. He was popped for selling weed, and possession of firearms. Additional information has not been made available.
Young Thug, on the other hand, also remains in jail and investigators are looking for whatever they can find to tie him to the Lil Wayne tour bus shooting. The studio where he recorded his video isn’t the only place that’s been raided. Cops have also raided his home. I can only imagine what other Atlanta rappers are going to get tied up in this craziness.
