Los Angeles rapper, Slim 400, was shot and killed Wednesday night in Inglewood, California.
Footage of the shooting surfaced Thursday afternoon where it appears the rapper was ambushed as he sat in a driveway.
In the footage, the suspect can be seen walking up the driveway with a gun in hand. He then approaches the driver’s side of the vehicle, where Slim was seated. You then see a flash and hear a gun go off and Slim lunge at the suspect. Shots continue to ring off and Slim is seen moving toward the street with the gunman.
The rapper, born Vincent Cohran, was found by officers who were patrolling the area. The officers heard gunshots and found Cohran wounded on the ground shortly after.
Paramedics treated the artist at the scene before he was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The investigation for the rapper’s murder is reportedly ongoing as police are reportedly collecting evidence and pursuing witnesses.
The 34-year-old Compton-raised rapper leaves behind a daughter.
