Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Girlfriend in Miami; GF Denies Rapper Abused Her

Rae Sremmurd rapper Slim Jxmmi, whose given name is Aaquil Brown, was arrested Tuesday morning in Miami after allegedly attacking the mother of his child during an argument, police said.

According to a Miami police arrest report, the woman told officers she had confronted Brown on Monday night about a woman he was following on social media. Brown left the apartment.

The situation reportedly escalated when Brown returned allegedly smelling like alcohol.

The woman also told authorities things took a turn when she attempted to move their son, who was asleep at the time, from his playpen to bed. She claimed Brown pulled her hair extension out and that the rapper become even more upset after she tried to record the altercation on her phone. She told police the 30-year-old chased her around their home and that she ran into a room and closed the door at one point, but her child’s father kicked the door down, ripped the phone from her hand, and threw it off a balcony.

The phone was later retrieved by cops undamaged.

Brown is currently being held in Miami’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $1,500 bond, according to inmate records.

Following the reports on domestic violence, Brown’s girlfriend took to Instagram calling the DV claims B.S.

“This is cap. Dade County y’all are wrong for this. I told you guys he did not hit me. Every officer you guys had in my face are wrong for this,” she posted on Instagram. “No hands were put on anybody, I stated it more than once.”

In the post, she said that there was a loud argument and the police were called. “You guys turn nothing into something,” she said.
