Fans of YFN Lucci may be getting a late Christmas present as reports claim that the rapper may be coming home soon. Lucci’s legal issues kicked off in 2021 when he was arrested on RICO charges.
The following year, he pleaded guilty to a single count of violating Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. As a result, Lucci was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 10 years of probation. However, as new information surfaced, it looked like Lucci might be released soon despite only serving 3.5 years.
On Sunday, entertainment journalist Loren Lorosa took to social media to share an update on the rapper’s status. Using X (formerly known as Twitter) Lorosa revealed that a source gave her the insight into Lucci’s release and added that his team is anxiously waiting for the confirmation. She also stated that Lucci’s release will come with a set of conditions, which she describes as “not too crazy.”

“A source close to the rapper tells me, Lucci will be released ANY DAY NOW,” she wrote. “His teams literally checking their phones daily for the call.”
She added, “He’ll be under set conditions or rules he has to follow at the time of his release (which is standard), but I’m told the conditions aren’t too crazy.. they’re the same conditions that were set forth at the time of his plea.”
Lorosa’s reveal follows a November 2024 update that Think It’s A Game Records, Lucci’s label, released, claiming that his tentative parole date was January 2025. Adding to the latest development, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis previously advocated for Lucci’s early release in a letter to the State Board of Pardons and Paroles.
