Actor Raven-Symoné has announced the death of her father, Christopher B. Pearman.
On Tuesday, the “That’s So Raven” star posted a childhood photo featuring herself and Pearman, who acted as her manager for several years.
“My life has been long and abundant. And the path I’m on started with a dream. Hope he is watching with a smile on his face…#christopherbpearman,” she wrote in the caption.
Pearman was heavily involved in his daughter’s career, especially during her childhood on “The Cosby Show.” He also directed several episodes of her hit Disney series “That’s So Raven.” His work in public relations and advertising afforded him a successful career. In a 2010 interview with NPR, Pearman recounted how his daughter eventually told him, “Daddy, I can run my own company. I can run my own thing,” to which he responded with support, allowing her to transition into taking the reins of her own professional life.
It’s unknown how Pearman died or when exactly he passed away. Symoné has not provided more details about his death. Sadly, his death arrived just one year after her brother, Blaize, died of colon cancer. However, fans and fellow celebrities sent their condolences to the “Tea Time” host, flooding her comment section with well-wishes and prayers.
