According to Raven-Symoné, her hit Disney series “That’s So Raven” is loosely based on her life.
On a recent episode of her show, “The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda,” Symoné revealed that long before she portrayed the role of Raven Baxter in the hit show based on a teenage psychic, she had her own supernatural capabilities. The actress explained that she often had visions of the future as a youngster. Symoné says the scenes are still happening to this day, usually in a manner in which she can see things in her future before they transpire. Now whether or not this is a case of true abilities or phenomenal marijuana remains to be seen. Nevertheless, the Cheetah Girl maintains her stance.
“I can walk into a room and read the room. People might not think that’s psychic, but what that is, is reading energy. And energy is in the psychic plane because it’s not on a physical, material plane,” the 37-year-old stated alongside her wife, Miranda Maday, and Keke Palmer, who was a guest during the episode.
In “That’s So Raven,” the main character would often be in the middle of doing something when she’d suddenly be stopped by a premonition and see images of things and scenarios to come. In the spin-off, “Raven’s Home,” the main character, now an adult and parent, continues to have similar visions that often kick in to prevent a problem of some sort.
While Symoné is confident that humans possess gifts to see things before they happen, she interestingly does not believe in fortune tellers who utilize instruments such as crystal balls.
