Flock Nation received the best news of the season when it was announced that the Baltimore Ravens would be signing cornerback Jaire Alexander, a college teammate of quarterback Lamar Jackson. After being released by the Green Bay Packers last week, speculation quickly spread that the former Louisville standouts, both first-round picks, might reunite in Baltimore.

Alexander agreed to a one-year deal worth six million dollars. Over his seven-year NFL career, he’s earned a reputation as one of the league’s elite corners, with two All-Pro seasons to his name. However, injuries have limited his consistency. He’s appeared in only 14 games over the past two seasons.
Alexander’s energy and exuberant personality reportedly wore thin in Green Bay, leading to his release. But his talent remains undeniable, and he now joins one of the league’s most potent defensive units. With Alexander in the fold, the Ravens enter the season with arguably the best secondary in the NFL.
The first person to welcome Alexander to the flock was none other than Lamar Jackson. The two embraced, smiling and laughing, as Jackson encouraged his former teammate to “sign the wall,” where all new Ravens free agents leave their mark. It’s a beautiful, organic reunion and one that aligns perfectly as Jackson begins to renegotiate his new contract.
The goal remains the same: a Super Bowl title. And with Alexander’s arrival, Baltimore adds another weapon to make that dream a reality.
