R&B Singer Ann Marie Allegedly Shoots Man In The Head

R&B singer Ann Marie was arrested in connection to a shooting in an Atlanta hotel, area news outlet CBS46 is reporting.

The singer, real name JoAnn Marie Slater, allegedly shot an unidentified 24-year-old man in the head. Police responded to reports of shots fired and found a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and listed in critical condition.

The outlet reports that Ann Marie told officers that “a gun fell off of a table in the hotel room, which caused the gun to go off, hitting the victim.”

She was booked into Fulton County Jail on charges of possession of a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials did not release any more information regarding the incident.

Of course, “Ann Marie” began trending on Twitter, and feelings on the matter were divided. Some were praising her for shooting her “cheating boyfriend,” which has not been confirmed. Others compared this situation to the highly publicized shooting situation with Meg Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez.
