Candiace Dillard Bassett and husband Chris Bassett are officially parents! The Real Housewives of Potomac alum welcomed their first child, Jett Maxwell Lee Bassett, on October 3rd. Exclusive photos shared with PEOPLE show the happy family of three, with Candiace calling their newborn “the cutest little thing” who’s brought “pure joy” to their lives.
Naming their son was important for the couple, as “Jett” symbolizes excellence and abundance. “We wanted a meaningful name, and this one felt right,” said Candiace, who also honored her father by choosing the middle name Lee.
Candiace, who documented her IVF journey on RHOP, reflected on her path to motherhood. “I wish I hadn’t waited so long, but I have no regrets,” she shared. Now, she’s embracing every moment, even finding humor in baby spit-ups and sleepless nights.
The couple is soaking up life with baby Jett, whom they describe as a “calm” little one who takes after his dad but has his mom’s looks. “We’re ready for all the adventures,” Candiace said, savoring every milestone with their growing bundle of joy.
