The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah has reported to prison to begin her sentence in her fraud case.
The reality star maintained her innocence throughout the Salty Lake City series until finally pleading guilty to running a nationwide telemarketing scheme that affected elders mainly. She surrendered to federal prison on Friday.
According to her attorney, Priya Chaudry, says Shah is ready “to make restitution to those whose lives she has impacted.”
“Jen Shah’s resolve to make her victims whole and to turn her life around is unyielding. She is committed to serving her sentence with courage and purpose, fueled by her desire to make amends for the hurt she has caused and to help others in her new community.”
It’s unclear which prison she’ll be reporting to, but reports note that it could be a camp near Houston.
In addition to her 6.5 prison sentence, Shah is ordered forfeit $6,500,000, forfeit her luxury items, including 78 counterfeit items, and to pay $6,645,251 in restitution. After her sentence she’ll have to five years’ post-release supervision.
Shah is the third reality star to report to prison, along with Todd and Julie Chrisley.
