Reclaim Your Time: A Four-Step Guide To Finding Inner Peace

While it’s easy to say things like “don’t stress about it” or “it’ll all work out” during a crisis, truth is, it’s not always that simple. As humans, we can become so intertwined in chaos that it becomes harmful to our well-being, making it hard to reestablish peace. So here are four simple steps to help you on your journey to self-discovery and spiritual awakening:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Watch the things you allow into your mind ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When we spend too much time exuding so much of ourselves to others or getting caught up in all the things that demand our attention, it can be easy to lose focus. Be conscious of the things you choose to deal with. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Be yourself ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You are not a perfectionist and you are not your past; it’s never too late to create something new for yourself. Say what you mean and do what you want. Make a commitment to yourself to be as conscious, transparent and authentic as you can. If you don’t want to hang out with your friends, say “I love you” back, or plan on calling someone back, be honest — even if it’s not what they want to hear. Always live in your purpose and don’t allow anybody else to deter you from that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Let things go ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How often have you let someone upset you because they ignored or judged you? How often have you allowed someone to treat you wrong and then say it’s out of love? When we give that much power to others, we allow them to control us and our feelings. Just block their number and love yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Breathe ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Slow down and learn how to disconnect. You don’t always have to be caught up in watching tv, social media or gossip. Remember to take time to recenter yourself and recollect your thoughts — it’s crucial to your mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Achieving inner peace is a process, but as you find it, you will become a happier, present person. You will begin to truly experience life and finally see the resilience of your mind, body, and spirit.
